Exspansion Slots on this Mobo?

I was looking at some really great combo deals on newegg (just to be nosy), and I came across this mobo.

It says it has a "PCI Express Pro Slot" and the description of the slot is: "PCI Express x16 compatible not by x16 mode"

What does that mean? please help me =D

Its a x16 slot but is only wired for 8 lanes, so its really a X8. No performance loss unless your running a top end card. Some crossfire and SLI boards chipsets only run in X8 if you have 2 cards installed. It because it has the old 405 southbridge. Plus that boards seems to have a limited amount of cards that will operate on it.

yeah i hada machine with one of those crossifre boards

unless you have a really high end card it wont make a difference
one was x8 and one was x16 but they were x16 size
