Extending wireless signal

We have two office locations, one on the 8th floor and one on the 5th floor of a building. We have the entire 8th floor covered by Cisco access points 802.11b/g. However, on the 5th floor we are not allowed to establish our own network due to security issues of the other tenants on that floor.

What is the best way to send the signal from the 8th floor to the 5th floor? Is there any hardware that can route the signal on the outside of the building with a receiver on the 5th floor?

Please advice! This is quite urgent and important.

Do the things on the 5th floor need to be connected wirelessly? I would recommend running a cat 5 or cat 6 cable down to the 5th floor then connecting it to a rireless access point down there or to a wired switch, which ever you prefer.
