Im looking at purchasing a western digital external hard drive. I was just wondering if a dual-option drive works the same as a normal drive. All I can tell is that it has three buttons instead of one. Its only $5 more...input please.

No, external, I already have two internals running RAID0, I just need extra drive space for storing music, videos, and general media.
