external hard drive choices please help

okay i need to get a new external hard drive and i want a firewire one but i dont know which one to get, my maximum amount of money is about 140 so can anyone help me out? thanks
 
becuase im going to be using it to record bands and ive already tried a usb one and its not fast enough, so im going to try a firewire one, ive been told that firewire allows faster transfer of data or something like that so therefore it would help me, right now im using my internal hard drive on my mac powerbook g4 and its not fast enough.
