Alright, I got a 500gb external hard drive for my laptop. I first plugged it in and transferred 17gb over from my lt. It worked great(running windows 7 by the way). I then hooked it up to my desktop pc that is running xp and transfered 9gb over, transferred just fine and showed it was on there. I plugged it back into the laptop and it does not show up, but the space is taken up. How do I make these files show up? I know they are there I just cannot see them. I read something about certain partitions and windows 7. Something about having to convert the partition into a basic type partition to view certain files on windows7.
I dont know if this has anything to do with it, but is there a way to figure this out?
