does anyknow where i can get an external hard drive for laptop for a cheap price? it can be used as long as it works. my laptop has only 30gigs and i only have 4 left. i have a budget of $60 not including shipping. i want something that is at least 60 gigs.

Check newegg.com
They have good prices and cheap (if not free) shipping and I dont think anyone here would object to buying from them (except for a few rare cases).
Any external hard drive that connects via USB, firewire, etc. will work with a laptop, provided you have the proper port.

OK I just looked and couldn't find too much... The rule of thumb for internal hard drives is $1/1 Gb so its not surprising that nothing fit the bill (60 gb for $60) in an external package.
Here is one for $75 though: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822101017 80 Gb, 7200 RPM, usb 2.0 connection... pretty standard, though I haven't bought anything from Calvary. I'll keep lookin for ya

I have seen 250GB internal hard drives for sale for under $100, you could easily buy an IDE to USB cable and/or a hard drive case for it and hook it up to your laptop without a problem. You could get some decent deals from ebay as well.
