I have a Compaq Windows 7 computer and 3 external hard
drives, "Passport", "Free Agent" and "Toshiba". I deleted
some files on them and it shows the same number of
gigabytes free as before. Its as if the files were never
deleted. I tried puting new files on them but it said there
wasn't enough space even though there should've been.
Either the files weren't deleted and it just looks like
they were, or the system thinks they weren't. I tried
adding smaller files and it showed the less amount of space
available based on what I put in, but when I delete them
they disappear and the same amount of space is showing like
it never happened. I disconnected all the hard drives and
put them back. Then I ran a Norton anti-virus scan which
showed nothing. Then I ran a system recovery. The problem
is still there. Why is this happening and how can I fix it?
