I just got a western dig 250gig external (won it at a lan). So far its been great with just one problem, it wont copy at one particular file. The file is about 4 gigs and a message comes up saying there isnt enough room left. That is a big lie, there is close to 120 gigs left. Any ideas?

Thanks

Sounds like it's formatted to FAT32 and not NTFS. FAT32 has a 4GB file limit.

Click on your drive under my computer, and it should tell you on the side bar. If it is FAT32, back your files up, then simply go to start > run > type CMD > then type CONVERT X: /FS:NTFS (where X is your drive letter) That should do it...assuming your running 2000 or XP :P
