I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good external hard drive. I have a FireWire 800 port so I am looking in that area; Cnet rated the 250 GB LaCie d2 pretty high (http://reviews.cnet.com/hard-drives/lacie-d2-hard-drive/4505-3186_7-31116431.html?ar=o&tag=pdtl-list), so I was considering that. A different consideration is whether I should try to get a drive that will run off my laptop's power supply (not sure if this is restricted to USB) or if the drives that use a power adapter function better.
On a separate topic, can anyone recommend a good brand and/or distributor for RAM? I'd like to expand from 512 maybe to a gig on my Powerbook G4.
