Hello, I am really hoping someone has some answers / suggestions that may be able to rectify my problem.
Here goes ...
I have a desktop computer that was built 12 months ago, it is Windows XP we have an external harddrive that we connected to the computer through the USB port at the front of the computer. It worked for a bit, then the last time my husband tried to look at some photos on ext hd, it froze up, he got out of everything and tried to go back into the ext hd through my computer. It was not being recognised then through my computer.
A friend put our HD on his computer and same thing, not being recognised through my computer. He is a little lnowledgeable with computers, and said that he can see the information through BIOS, however it wont allow him to do anything to the information on our HD.
He gave us his external harddrive to borrow which worked fine on his computer over the weekend, and the same thing has happened to his, although his WAS working fine on his computer prior to us plugging it into our USB port at front of computer.
To me... sounds like there is something wrong with our actual computer, but wanted your opinions / suggestions as to how we may be able to make them both work again to be able to get the information from them
Please help.
Cheers
