E elly New Member Jul 10, 2008 #1 i have an external hardrive that has been dropped can anyone tell me if they can be fixed.there is no noticeble damage to casing when opened all leads are in tact but it has a loud buzzing noise when switch on

Cromewell Administrator Staff member Jul 10, 2008 #2 If it's the drive itself making the noise get whatever you can off of it and get a new one. Loud sounds coming from hard drives are bad.
