External HDD Advice 2

I'm planning to get an external harddrive, maybe 60-80 gigs. Can you guys help me to put one together? I read in another external HDD thread that it's cheaper than buying a prepackaged external HDD. What are parts that I need?

Any help is greatly appreciated :)

errr... the post before about asking about external HDDs was made by terpsjohn, not me. And I think he was more concerned about brands, while I'm concerned about the PARTS. I didn't want to hijack his post so I made a new thread.
 
glad to be of service! i just got an enclosure to replace my cremated WD one, i got this one-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16826102503 for my 2.5in.
