External HDD Help!

Hi all,

i have recently purchased a 200GB external hard drive. i installed the drivers. but i cudnt see the new HD in my computer. i checked the device manager (control panel - system), i found a driver under Hard Disk called WDC WD20 00BB-00GUA0 USB Device and another under USB called USB Mass Storage Device. they r both properly functioning. this really is dazzling me, anyone has any ideas?! help!!!

What about formatting and partitioning the Hard disk. This might be the silliest thing to suggest, but it happens, you just forget to format it and partition

not silly at all I give it a 90% chance that this is what the problem is.
