External HDD

Usually what i do is i just get a regular (or laptop) HDD and buy a seperate enclosure. But that does look pretty cheap.

I third the external enclosure idea. May I suggest that you shop elsewhere other than Ebuyer? I've had that many hardware issues with them, as have colleagues of mine with Ebuyer providing some very shoddy (bad quality hardware). I've returned just under £1000 worth of equipment to them due to it being faulty within the space of only a year.

Exactly the website / company I was going to suggest if they asked who I go with. I purchase basically any hardware from Overclockers now whether it's for my machine or other peoples that I've been asked to work on. Quality of their products is spot on. They're a little overpriced but at the end of the day, it's well worth it. Come to think of it now I never purchase from anyone else other than Overclockers. Damn I'm becoming too loyal to them.

USe WD hard drive's i like them a lot. 500gb one really nice.

Hi thanks for all the input guys, its well appreciated. Thanks for the advice about ebuyer, i always thought they were quite reliable but ive never actually orsered from em. I'm quite interested in the buying a HDD and then buying an external case for it. Would one of you guys mind to recommend me one please, cheap as possible if you could.

The WD My Books look pretty good I'll go with one of them if i don't buy an external case and a HDD seperate.

Cheers, salman.
