Hi, I would like to put an internal hdd in my computer to use as a back up drive. The reason I want to use an internal one is b/c I do not need it to be portable and internal drives are way cheaper. My computer has a free sata plug in the mobo so i won't have a problem hooking it up internaly either. The other reason I want to go internal is that external drives use usb which is way slower than an internal sata hook up would be. I know they have esata drives but I do not have an esata hook up. I would like to know if there are any reasons I should use an external drive instead? I recently purchased an external drive and it was like watching grass grow copying files, so i want to return it and get another internal drive. Thanks for any help.
