Extra Memory

I bought a new computer in 2002 with 256mb already installed, i have installed a further 128mb making 384mb in total.

I have 128mb in slot 1 and 256mb in slot 2, my question is as follows:-

Can i combine slot 1 with slot 2 to give me a spare slot.

Please help me in this please as i desperatly need to add more memory.

so u only have 2 slots? u cant "stack" ram, i dont rly know how to explain it but i know what ur trying to say, just get rid of the 128 and then get like a 512. what mobo u have?

you can only have one stick in each slot, so get rid of the 128mb and get a 512mb like ripken said.
