extremely high page file usage

hi
today my computer started 2 run a little slow but when i cheked cpu usage,,,,it woz staying at around 0-2%when i was not doing anything, however page file usage was 2.1 gb(and it still is, even after restart is quickly got back this high), sureley this is not right at all. Any ideas on what the problem might be and how i can fix it?

I would maybe run high jack this and search out the processes running in the background, then google them to see if they are valid

Is there anything in particular eating up memory?

two things:

one: your sig is way over the 10 line rule
two: check your start up applications, im not sure but norton and other things use alot of pagefile i think
