Factory CPU & RAM question.

I have been learning about motherboards,CPU's,RAM,buses etc, the last week or so, and i have come across some things that i need some assistance in that i cant find on the net!!!

Example 1

I have an acer aspire 3000 notebook

The CPU is 1600MHz(1.6G)
and the multiplier is x8.0

The "FSB"(HT Link) is 200MHz (quad pumped = 800MHz)

The RAM is DDR PC2700(166MHz) 256MB

considering that the HT link is 800MHz (im calling this a "FSB":o) is this RAM "correct"?

Because the way i see it (please correct me if im wrong) is the RAM is double pumped equaling to 333MHz,

And my HT link ("FSB") is 800MHz, so shouldnt my "ideal" RAM = the HT link ("FSB") of 800MHz would this be called DDR800?

Example 2

intel pentium 4

CPU is 1500MHz (1.5G)
and the multiplier is x15.0

the FSB is 100MHz
the Rated FSB is 400(quad pumped = 400MHz)

The RAM is SDRAM PC133(133MHz)

Shouldnt this RAM also be the same as the FSB @ 400MHz?

RAM doesn't have to run 1:1 with the FSB. You can run it at pretty much any speed you want, although you are correct, ideally you should be running 1:1.
