Hey guys!

So a while back I had a post about building my computer and I DID IT!

i5 2500k

tx 650w

gtx570 sc

z68 gigabye board

8gb 1600 ripjaws

and cooler master sc v 2

I got it to play games for little but I bought this dell st2420l model

for cheap

but i see white hazing lines on my screen and I am getting ticked off any suggestions?!

just a few things that you can try:

check all the connections from GPU to the monitor as well as the power connectors from the PSU
Try a different GPU.
Try a different monitor.

What are the temps that you are getting for your CPU and GPU?

You may be pushing the efficiency with your power supply. It looks like you are nearly maxed out of wattage with your system using 600 watts according to this PSU calculator: http://support.asus.com/powersupply.aspx

If you're almost maxed out with your PSU, and your efficiency drops, I would assume the "white tearing" has to do with your PSU. But, that is my assumption. Otherwise, maybe a GPU driver update may help?

650w is plenty. The thing he has to check is the amount of amps on his single rail.

Can you post the exact model of PSU, Kevin?

Have you tried another monitor on it since it started? Have you tried the new monitor on another computer to make sure its not the monitor. And like said above, if your using VGA try DVI or maybe even another cable.

The Corsair TX650 will power his system fine. Which I guess is what he has.

i looked some and don't think they even make a gtx570 with a vga, and if they do i doubt it would come with the cable instead of a dvi or hdmi, but i'm thinking do you have the resolution set at like 1024x768 or so, try a higher res, and at the same time, if this is a low quality monitor, i know sometimes my old 9600se at over 1152x1024 will start to look blurry, even though my monitor is rated 720p, and i watch tv on it at 1080i and p acording to its little info bar.

which on the monitor i was saying i seem to experience a similar problem on i use vga, and as long as it is on 1152x1024 or below it seems to be a good bit clearer than the higher resses even though it is a 720 rated 1080 useable monitor.
