Failed to connect to DNS server?

I have a wireless home network, using vist 64-bit. It used to work, but now i can only connect without getting access to the internet. when windows troubleshoots it, it gives me the error:

Cannot communicate with primary DNS server

Whats happening and how can I fix this?

have you tried unplugging the router for 30secs and then plugging it back in ? also could it be your firewall? .
