Failure to Backup to External HDD

What is the best remedy for repeated failure to backup from Win7 to a 3TB WD MyBook which is less than 1/3 full? ll suggestions gratefully received.

The error message from KaperskyTotal Security Backup App is :
03.11.2019 20.50.17;Backup task failed;Backup copies of files from My Documents folder and from Desktop;11/03/2019 20:50:17;Backup error
It is meant to function as an autobackup and this is the message received when seeking to backup manually
