im using a P4M800-M7 (V3.1) and i got confuse when downloading of BIOS update with the P4M800-M7 (V1.0) and i didnt notice it and installed it .. until ...... my system reboot ... it jsut kept beep .... beep .... beep ... and does not seem to boot up .. i try clearing CMOS but its still the same ... anyone got any idea how to resolve this problem asap ?

The only way to do it is to attempt to reflash with the proper BIOS. If that doesn't work you're SOL. You either send the chip out to be reprogrammed, order in a new chip or buy a new board. Any way you look at it it's going to cost you money if the flash doesn't work.

Same way you flashed it in the first place, if you can even get it to boot that is.

Otherwise see if you can get a replacement CMOS from ASUS :(

Boot up with a bootdisk that has the ROM and the flash utility on it. Run the utility. It could very well work. It's worth a try.

I don't think it would work since the motherboard is bacisly dead while flashed with wrong BIOS version. Replacement or reprogramming only cure for this.

will reprogramming be very troublesome ? .. how do i create the bootdisk ? mind giving a step by step guide ?

Reprogramming can be done by persons tha have recuired tools and experiance, you cannot reprogam it yourself, since you don't even see the post screen while booting and your motherboard is "dead", there is no point creating a bootup disk when you are not able even to boot.

thz guy .. for your suggestion i had decided to get a nw mobo = )) and to others out there ... becareful when updating BIOS .. hehe
