Faint grey horizontal line scrolls up screen

I have a 3 year old Samsung SyncMaster 914v 19" monitor and a very faint light grey horizontal line continuously scrolls up the screen. Is there a fix or is the monitor beginning to crap out? Thank you. Frank

Is it a CRT or a LCD?

Try using JS Screen Fix to see if that would help maybe?
