I started playing this game on the X Box 360 about a month ago and also installed the expansion pack for Oper. Anchorage with The Pitt.
I didn't really understand what kind of game this was at the start. SO, I was just playing along with the same reckless abandon I had with other "shooting games" like Halo or GTA-VC and SA. (GTA-VC is probably my favorite game ever.)
Soon though I realized that there was more to the game than just running about doing whatever. Like I killed the Overseer and then Burke without any thought and then SAVED! I thought since it showed good karma after killing Burke that there wouldn't be any problems. Damn that made certain things annoying later on.
But once I got the feel for the game I was a little more careful, except that I didnt have any kind of a guide or any understanding of all the stuff on the web. I wasted loads of ammo, I found and LOST items necessary for later quests, like the song book at the history museum.
And I also was leveling-up VERY fast. I made it to level 20 before I even got to the Waters of Life quest. I leveled up without thinking about skill books, bobble-heads, perks that influence, and clothing that help.
I have 100 in stats for things like science, lock-pick and small guns. But only 55 or 60 in repair skill. I could really use 100 in repair now since I am making so many schematic guns like the dart gun, or the railway rifle. I also have tons of guns! At least 5 Fat Man launchers, 30 hunting rifles, 5 or 6 .44 handguns, and 40 assault rifles. BUT, I cant repair any further than about 60-70%.
I also have TONS of apparel and cant do anything with it. Things like raider armor, combat armor, power armor, hats, clothes, sunglasses. I cant sell it to anyone because it would take FOREVER since most buyers only have a few hundred on them.
I have fixed up my place and made loads of special weapons and have found at least 40 of the nuka-cola quantum's. I have buttons wig and have taken the Declaration. of Independence., the Magna Carta and the Bill of Rights to Rivet City. I have all the Lincoln items.
SO I have gotten all the normal stuff, and got into "treasure hunting" by finding the "special" weapons like Vengeance, Eugene and the Reservists rifle. But now that I have nearly all of them there isnt much else to look for or do.
I have raided all the armories and all the military bases (with the exception of Raven Rock, obviously). I have been to almost every city and completed almost all the other quests. And I have all but 2 or 3 bobble-heads. I have so much in "aid" items like 80 stimpaks and 50 Rad-X and Rad-Away not to mention all the thousands of rounds of ammunition for every weapon.
So my question is...
What else is there to do apart from the BORING main quests now???
