I myself have been in the whole computer building scene for quite a while now, and I'm looking to build a cheap, but decent family computer for them to use for the new year. Dad purely uses the computer for archiving videos, photos and younger brother primarily uses it for music, internet browsing and perhaps some gaming on the side. From what I know, he doesn't use it for any intensive gaming, but would like to play some FPS games, like COD4 etc.
I have a budget of $700 CDN, so please use ncix.com or newegg.ca (as I can simply price match NCIX with newegg). I would build the computer myself, but I simply have too much on my hands recently, so include a $50 assembly fee.
Key points:
- $700 CDN budget
- Quad-core
- 4GB Ram
- 500GB HDD
- Decent gaming
- include Windows 7 Home Premium into budget
- include $50 assembly fee
Thanks guys.
