fan controller

my front 120mm fan runs 100% and is remarkably loud. is there a program i can download to lessen its speed? it is currently connected to my mobo, but speedfan doesnt seem to work.

Don't know about a program but there are various hardware controllers on the market, some pretty and some just functional.

Speedfan can't be used on most any new computer... An asus board like you have should have some ability to control the fan speeds within the bios or using special software from Asus. But if that doesn't work, there are hardware controllers as Simon mentioned.

Plus it helps if the fan has all three cables (one is the rpm sensor) i bought a coolermaster fan contorller for £5 and it is perfect
