There is a fan on the back of my computer that I can see from where I am sitting...and I never noticed this before but it isnt spinning...I dont know if it did that recently or ha snever ran before...any idea as to why? and is it important for that fan on the back to run?

Is it possible it was unplugged or something? is that connected to the psu? cuz i just recently bought a new psu and installed it so I may have forgotten to plug it maybe??

im sure you did forget a wire, follow the wire from the fan 2 find it, and see what kind of connector it is, and look 4 where it goes on your motherboard.

lol i feel so stupid...from where i was sitting it looked like the fan was sitting still but its running at full speed...i put my hand behind it and i felt air lol

haha, yeah, i thought my fan died in my Dell, but it was spinning soo fast it looked like it was sitting still lol.

yeah, it's real important, it takes the heat away from the CPU, the fan may be shot.
If it's the exhaust fan it's not nearly as important as perhaps the HSF fan which actually takes the heat from the CPU rather than from the case.

It could be a thermally regulated fan also and it not being on would be normal operation if there isnt a need for it

Hehe, wasnt it also making noise? Or do you have one of them fancy quiet ones?
