Fan on VC making lots of noise

As the title states, when i turn my computer on the fan on my video card begins to make a loud, abnormal noise. It sounds as though the motor is dying or the bearings are going. If i tap on my tower the noise will cease for a while only to return.
What does this sound mean?
What should i do?

It sounds like a fan... open the case and try do identify which one. if it's just a case fan you can get it replaced, if it's a video card, go online and get the manufacturers support centre and try to get an RMA.

what are the temperatures like?
