Fan Sucking or Blowing?

I have a HP Pavilion zt3000 and i had to take it apart to fix the fan. Now my friend is telling me that it should be blowing out so i checked and there is no way i have done it wrong but the fan is sucking in. If its suppost to be blowing out can you tell me how to do it?

not necessarily. It's good to have at least 1 intake fan, that is, one sucking air in/blowing air onto the components.

on my laptop i got one fan that sucks air and it also lets outs air wonder if my pavillion fan design structure are similiar to yours

if your laptop has only one fan, then it should be blowing air out of the case, but then again it depends on how your fan(s) is/are positioned.

I know that mine sucks air in from the top then out the bottom.
