on my computer......just started sounding like it is ready to take off......I tap it and it got quiet for awhile and started doing again......Is my fan ready to die??? or is it coming loose somehow.........I will open it tomorrow its to late right now...........let me know what you guys think
 
I dont know but my PSU fan started to do this. I replaced it (120mm) with a better aftermarket fan.

I think one of the ball bearings went.
 
It's fairly common for the fans to give out like that. The easiest thing to do, just pop open the computer and lightly stop the fans(of course be very careful :P) They are easy enough to replace, unless it's the one in your power supply. Those can be a real pain and it's not reccomended that you open them up...

Ya, thats some good advice, definately will void your warranty, and if you do have a warranty send it back and get it replaced. But if you dont have the warrenty, then what the heck, your gonna have to get a new one, wouldn't be that much of a waste to try. Just be careful what you do and don't do anything stupid when its open. :P
