Fans for memory?

I see what looks like a fan covering RAM in some peoples computers. Is it actually a fan running over it, or what? I see them a lot in Maxishine's videos.

I can't watch the video here but you can get fan setups that fit over top of your RAM. You shouldn't really need them but they might help you overclock a little bit.

alot of Overclockers have fans on their ram just to keep them a bit cooler.

i think aslong as you have heatspreaders which most ram does now exept the realy cheap ram then your fine,

Only time ive seen it was in a server, where the RAM cage had a big old 120mm fan on the each end. Then again, it had like 16gb of uberfast ram

imho not necessary for a desktop pc, but for overclockers, the heatsinks are good.
