What do you prefer to use in your computer Fans or Water?? Please post your cooling systems and how much they cost. I have a laptop ATM so i have none. But im building a computer soon so i could do with some ideas :)

Thanks
Richard

I use case fans. Water cooling is quite expensive, since I am not extreme ocing, I am not using water cooling.

I think water or more accurately liquid cooling need heaps of cash to make it effective. If you buy the cheapo liquid solutions then you can serious damage your hardware. I think by far fan and heatsinks are the best if you are on a budget. Zalman's cooling solutions are pretty good, I have been using their products for years.

I still, and personally will continue to for the next few years, use air (fans) cooling. I have 2 large 120mm fans. One located at the front sucking in, one at the back blowing out. I plan to cut a hole in the top of the case and add another blowing out fan of the same size, and also place a 92mm blowing in fan on the side.

To be honest I'm still not extremely comfortable with the idea of liquid cooling and electronics no matter how safe / good it is.

Breaks.

I really was considering getting liquid cooling for my new rig, but from the reviews i've read and just from my opinion, as long as you have a good HSF and high-flow case fans, the differences in temps shouldnt be that great.

Besides, with liquid cooling you have to worry about leakage (which isnt that likely, but is possible), and you need to replace the coolant every so often as it may gunk up or evaporate.
