Far Cry 2 or Fallout 3

Now that I've played and enjoyed both I can say Fallout 3 is the better game. Far Cry 2 is great, but Fallout is flat out awesome.
 
Far Cry or Fallout? Nice to have an explanation of why you prefer one over the other. I haven't played any of the earlier editions and have nothing to compare them to.

The comment about playing like Crysis without the nanosuit was good. Picking one based on what you think the pc will run is lame (okay, a good thing for buying purposes, but doesn't give much of an impression as to which is conceived to be better)
 
How in the hell did i miss the release of FC2? ?? wtf. Iv been waiting for that game forever and here i am thinking that i still have to wait for it, and its already on the shelves?
 
from what I have seen, FC 2. Im not a fan of F3's style. I mean, l Like gore and all, but there's just some stuff that looks kinda stupid. Although game play looks like itll be good.
 
Having played both, I find them both to be a bit slow for my tastes, but I think that Fallout is the better game so far. I really like them both, but I have more drive to play Fallout.

Yeah, I accidentally beat it over the weekend. I did the final quest not knowing it was the final quest. I was level 12 to 14 range when I beat it. The game scales itself to your level so technically you can leave the vault and go straight through the story line quest and beat the game rather quickly.

I only scratched the surface and I got the good guy ending, there are apparently tons and tons of endings depending on your karma. I didn't play through enough to be a super goody-two-shoe but I got close. I got enough karma that a brotherhood of steel member joined me, but I was too good for some raiders to join me. So the game is very dynamic. I am going to roll a new character this week and play through as the bad guy and take my time doing all side quests.

For those of you that want to know, the quest about your father is the one that completes the game. So, you may want to hold off on that quest until you reach a certain point to actually go out and play the game to it's fullest.
