is this game worth me getting
it looks good and I've heard good things about it
but i have also heard of bad resolution and glitches

anyone any opinions ??
 
I have noticed that after i mentioned it a while ago saying its an addicting game it slowly has been more and more discusses with other people on CF and now many are talking about it...i guess one can start it all...
 
indeed but i think its worth a look before crysis

it was that video of sum guy doing it in just over an hour that made me think about it .
 
The game is fantastic...its one of the few FPS games I still play from time to time on SP.

Just don't patch past 1.02 it screws the single player up horribly and they never fixed it....they moved on to FC2 and Crysis.
 
Yea they failed on the multi-player badly. I don't think it was ever made for MP just some last minute thing they added.
 
Do they make a Far Cry 2? In Twist86's post he says FC2, just didn't know if he meant Far Cry 2 or something else. If he means Far Cry 2, has it been released? BTW, Far Cry is a great game.

i went to danny's (kornowski) house tonight and played a far cry demo the graphics are better than i expected and the blood and physics too

Yeah, from what we played it's a great game, a little hard but it's great considering how old it is...

I have to say, I really love the light shining through the trees onto the gun! I can't wait for Crysis!
 
So they don't have a Far Cry 2 for computer? Wasn't Far Cry made for computer first? Why would they not make a second Far Cry for computer instead of the Nintendo Wii?
 
I thought Far cry vengeance was just a port of the PC version with just a few modifications. :confused: Far cry did come out on PC first. That was what I thought of Vengeance, the plot is the same as the PC version.
 
Nah only Far Cry on PC atm and PC sold more versions then Xbox has yet.

Tho I hear Far Cry 2 is coming to PC but will next sometime next year. They are going 2 different directions with the game...it wont be like Halo 2 where they take the Xbox version and make it work for a PC as well.

It is a port, but not a direct one. The gameplay and storyline has been altered significantly. It's basically the latest in a long line of FarCry games intended to milk the cash cow as much as possible.

The original FarCry on PC came first, then FarCry: Instincts for the xbox. Then soon after there was a sequel called FarCry: Insticts - Evolution. As if to confuse people even more, they then merged Instincts and Evolution and turned them into a 360 game called FarCry: Instincts - Predator. After that came the Wii version, Farcry: Vengeance, which is absolute sh**e. Now there is Crysis in the works and an expansion pack due for the original FarCry.

I hope that clears up any confusion about the different games and sequels.
 
But at least the game is good, I absolutely LOVED the original farcry on PC. I don't think Crysis will be linked to farcry though, I heard the only thing in common is the Crytech engine.
