Hi guys, my ISP will be giving me a new modem that has built in wireless networking. However I already have a wireless router and my question is should I forget about my wireless router and go with my new modem that has wireless networking built in or should I use it as it is now which is router and wireless router? By the way, the router I have now is a Linksys WRT54G.

It all depends on the speed difference you'll get, if you're modem is better than the ISP's keep it.

Can you give us more details on the ISP's modem?
 
I don't know too much about my I.S.P. modem as I did not receive it yet. All I know is my internet speed will be increasing from 5MBPS to 7MBPS.
 
If your ISP's modem is free, have it sent to you and try it. If you feel it is faster, then keep it, your other router could be used in case of emergency or on other occasions.
