fast ram into slow motherboard

pc3200 ram into a pc2700 motherboard? will it work? stress the motherboard to much?

nope, it will run ok, it will reduce its speed to the speed that your mobo supports and thats 333MHz which is PC2700

The ram will just slow down to 333 or really 166

so if one stick would be slowed down to 266 then should i have the bigger memory in the faster slot?
