faster harddive?

what is faster then an SSD to put in my build? i heard somethign about a ram drive or somethign and one other thing, how many options for things like that is there? and whats the fastest
 
well a ssd is basically like a ram drive i guess. look at ram without a heatsink and it's just a circuit-board with a few chips, same with a usb drive, small circuitboard with chips. only diff is the ssd is a lot bigger than those and uses a different interfase and i guess higher quality parts too.

i just read into it and i guess the ram disk is way way way faster then an SSD and lasts longer cause it doesnt have a limited number or write cycles or whatever, the only problem is its volatile so it has to have power at all times or it gets wiped
