I'm holding off for a while on building a new "gaming" computer - so I'm going to have to make do with what I have for now - which is a P4 3.0E (i865PE chipset board), with 1gb dual channel DDR400.
I am limited to AGP on this board, and it's hard to find any AGP cards anymore... I've been searching, and found a few... back when I was into gaming, I had a good PC with a 7800GTX, back when it was "top tier"... and back then, anyone with an AGP board wanted the 7800GS...
Now, since DX10 is out, I'd like to get a DX10 capable card - as fast as I can get with appx. $100 - $120.
So, my question is this - I have found the following cards, which one would be the fastest?
Sapphire Radeon HD 3850 w/ 512MB GDDR3 ($110)
eVGA Geforce 7800GS w/ 256MB GDDR3 ($130)
Visiontek Radeon x1950 Pro w/ 256MB GDDR3 ($120)
eVGA Geforce 6800 Ultra w/ 256MB GDDR3 ($110)
And yes, I know, my CPU will be horribly bottlenecking any of these cards, but I want the fastest one I can get for this amount on money. I also seen some good deals on some 7600GS cards, but I really want to stick with 256-bit memory interface. Also, I do have an adequate PSU for any card.
Thanx in advance for any help!!!
