can anyone explain what this is? i did a recovery on my usb to get deleted files and this is the only thing that came up? i dnt want to buy the program yet tho as i dont no what it is.

this is what it says. FAT32 at sector 2,024, cluster size 8 (500mb)

thnks

well, fat32 is a filesystem as used on most usb flash drives... thats probably not of interest to you, sector 2,024 is a disk location (or memory chip location i this case) and i believe the 500Mb bit is simply telling you how far throguh the memory it has got, none of that info there looks like it could be talking about a deleted file. What program is this...

that would cost alot more than buying that program im sure.

What exactly are you trying to recover?

the usb stick was formatted. there was word documents and access database files.
The chances of you getting the files back are pretty much nada. Formatting a hard drive is different than formatting a flash drive. I highly doubt that you could recover these files.

If it is possible, a data recovery service would cost anywhere from several hundred to several thousands of dollars.

yes, professional data recovery is one of those markets that has not yet matured with age, unlike RAM and HDD's that get cheaper by the day, the price of data recovery keeps skyrocketing... if your damn rich then off you go to a pro service, but for most people this is not an option. did you not have a backup anywhere at all

As most people have already said, data recovery services are
VERY expensive. If you haven't rewritten any data to the
drive after the format then you still have a some chance
at recovery.

If you have rewritten data to the drive then some of it
probably won't be recoverable.

I suggest you go to google.com and type in
"formatted flash drive data recovery". I would
concentrate on software that says it will work on
the usb drives (not just harddrives). You might be
able to find some trial software before you pay for
it. The trial software will usually show you what
could be recovered but won't actually recover it
until you pay for the software.

Good luck.
