FAT32 or NFTS

Which file system do you use?

It is from my understanding Windows xp gives the option of either. Which is the preferred choice and why?

NTFS has more features available, say things like a higher maximum drive size etc... also things like it allows for file and disk comression methods etc.... NTFS for me

really, you would be a fool to stay on FAT32

ntfs i nvr knew my moms old computer used fat32 and it crashed because of it we thought the hdd broke so she just bought a new computer(she needed it anyway)so i dont use fat32 ever
 
NTFS for my XP partition, FAT32 for my data storage partitions, and Ext3 for my Linux partition. So...20GB NTFS, 20GB Ext3, 205GB FAT32. :)

Unless you are on a very small drive, then you would get better performance out of fat32.
