Fatal Error

[ANNR]

I got this message after I try to reinstall Windows Xp pro.

The system had Vista Ultimate installed at first but I got a Fatal Error message when i try to install the xp pro.

Here is the error message

Fatal Error
An error has been encountered that prevents setup from continuing.
One of the components that windows needs to continue setup could not be installed
The parameter is incorrent.

Press OK to view the setup log file.

Here is what the log file says

Error:
Installation Failed: D:\I386\asms. Error Message : The Parameter is incorrent.

xxx

Fatal Error:

got any idea whats going on?

Thanks patrickv. I did a little google search and was able to fix it. It is the same method that they used in the forum link you posted.
