Faulty or what? (godnessake!)

I first purchased a new GFX video card and had to return it because it was faulty, and they confirmed this and sent a replacement. The replacement now works... well obviously!
Now I get brand new N68C-S UCC motherboard and the stupid thing is not detecting both of my SATA hard-drives (tested individually), not even in BIOS!
What it does is, when it comes to the first screen - it takes 20-60 seconds then after it will say "Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key".
I really need to know if this is faulty or not.. I mean it has to be? why not?
I just thought... how very unlikely to buy two brandnew seiled retail products and both faulty??!

your motherboard is supported sata....
and also check your sata cable maybe its braked

Nope, I am using brand new SATA cables provided... :(

I just can't believe they didn't test this junk before selling it on the market. Nevermind this faulty board, I want an affordable motheroard for my X4 620 AMD Athlon II. Any recommendations for this?

I really do believe this brand new board is faulty, what else is there? Not even CD ROM SATA is reading "all the time" ??

Have you went into the bios and setup your boot order?
