Faulty PSU?

heya guys, ive got this old-ass antec 350 watt PSU...and for no reason, my circuit on the circuit breaker has overloaded or whatever. nothing out of the ordinary is plugged in, and the only thing i could think of was this PSU having problems and shorting out my circuit. its around 6 years old, so i think its reached its life's limit. this PSU doesnt owe me an effing penny, its been through heavy use for at least 2 years.
so whatya think, time for a new PSU? (a whole new system, judging by my specs :P)

A 350w with the newer boards would be replaced by one of Antecs 380w models for a very basic build while a work horse and especially gaming build and of course ocers will want a much heftier model to start with. I fyou are planning to build new at some point then a look at a larger 400-500w is a thought while not a necessity at this time.

One old Socket A build saw an Antec 430w model take a beating after replacing a 350w model when building that case. The older case with the 350w model is now back and being looked over to insure the 98 copy of Windows is still in working order as well as the 13gb drive in that old one!

You can jump up a bit for the time being until a new build is put together. Gee? I'm replacing more drives lately on old cases where there no room for ..? anything! :P

If you are not planning on a high ender for gaming/ocing but perhaps two optical dirves and possibly an extra hard drive for storing files you can easily get by with a 450-480 even 500w supply when that time comes. On the hand for high end video cards, extra drives, and additional devices then you would start looking at 600-700w supplies for a start. The maxed out machines are the ones that get into the 1000w+ supplies there.

A new PSU is $20 for God's sakes. Don't listen to anyone telling you to buy a new car because it has a flat tire. You don't need to buy a $100 PSU for a computer like that. A cheapo will be fine. If the computer as a whole meets your needs, it's worth a $20 unit. God.
