hey guys, this is my first post, lets get the hardware out of the way:
I'm running an:
Asus a7j
T2600 @ 2.16ghz
2.0g sdram
Ati radeon x1600
So here is my problem, my laptop has a random shutdown problem. It is however more common while under load (like when playing a game or watching a movie). I have ruled out overheating and have moved on to several other theories.
1) Bad power supply
2) faulty video card
3) corrupted file system
4) or faulty ram
today i ran a memory test that came back with 2 errors in memory and their location, i was wondering if it was possible if i could reference those 2 points and see if that was causing the shutdown? is that possible?
i could just get 2 new sticks and try that way.... but i'm a poor college student... and i would like to avoid that if possible. thx in advance.
