i recently opened up my comp to take out an network adapter and put it back together the case got caught on the side of motherboard when i turned it on it posted and beeped so i went into the bios and the voltages said

CPU 1.77v
+3.3v 3.37v
+5v 5.35v
+12v 0.00v
-12v 9.48v
-5v 3.49v
vbat 3.28v
5vsb 5.19

so i tried to boot it i didnot have a prob with it i open motherboard monitor and it said that the +12v was 15.20v is it ok to run my motherbaord like this i am using it right now w/o no problems its been running for 6 hours
my mobo is DFI PE-11 sa/rama i got a pentium 4 socket 478 processor running at 1.6 ghz
sorry about the typing it is 2 in the morning

That's far too high for the +12V rail, if it's accurate, and depending on your power supply you would probably have tripped a safety device designed to prevent damage to your computer, which would have cut power on that rail. You probably have a bad sensor, i'd use a multimeter to measure the voltages accurately.

Would it be able to run if it would of cut the power on that rail? I have an ATX connector and a 12v connector going into my motherboard which one is the +12v be?

one more thing ive noticed +12v running at 15.30v -12v running at 9.48v the
+12 is 3 volts over while the -12 is 3 volts under

CPU 1.77v -Depends on your CPU, but looks fine.

+3.3v 3.37v -Fine

+5v 5.35v -Tad on the high side, but fine.

+12v 0.00v -Wrong, your computer cant boot if there are no volts.

-12v 9.48v -Either way to low or wrong.

-5v 3.49v - Either way to low or wrong.

vbat 3.28v -Fine

5vsb 5.19 -Fine

you only have 8 amps on the entire +12v rail? How the heck does your computer function w/ that much power?
I have 17 with CD burdner, DVD burdner, 3 fans(just put in, but working fine) 4 harddrives(2 are below 15gb but you know) my cpu fan, which is rated for a 3.6ghz P4D, and 13 case lights. People tell me I cant run half of that, but I do, either my label is incorrected or PSU's are even more overrated then video card's.

but eitherway were both of topic, you say everything boots up right, correct? Then what's the need to fix it?
