Why use Ubuntu when you can get kUbuntu and it has more add ons?
Yes, knoppix is great for getting sam files from computers....not that you use that for anything...
 
well it looks like i'll go with SuSe, and can someone give me the link to download it, and please dont give me a link with a download cap of under 175KBps. Thanks :)
 
you should download the 5 cd iso if you have a 32 bit systems. i think the 64 bit iso is used to install online. the evaluation dvd iso contains (i believe) both 64 and 32 bit versions. it is instalable but it comes with no support - but that does'nt really matter. SuSE have in the past left out development apps from their eval version, i'm not sure if this is the case here.

they have also released a beta version of 10.0, but i would not recomend this version for someone new to linux as it would be buggy. but you can check it out http://www.opensuse.org/index.php/Download
