Well I'm going to show my age, but my ALL TIME favorite system is NES. I grew up with Coleco Vision, Atari and all that came after, but the one I enjoyed the most was and still IS NES. I dont know how long I played Mario and Duck Hunt for, not to mention the running pad. The games that got me REALLY hooked were Metal Gear, Final Fantasy, Mike Tysons Punch Out, Metroid and Operation Wolf. I still have my NES and ALL 200 of my games from when I was a kid

I'd have to say SNES, just because of all the great games, like Final Fantasy III, Super Mario RPG, and Yoshi's island. NES falls as a VERY close second, because of Super Mario 3(BTW I still play all these games today. I play them more than my PS2, Gamecube, and when I had it my xbox.)
PC comes in at third, again, it was pretty hard to decide

I probly prefer the older systems because I can't play games near as much as I could back in the day.

I remember the good old days of when I would sit and play the original sonic on the genEsis for hours. Then I got sonic 2, 3, pinball, 3d, etc. moved over to the dreamcast and got sonic adventure. But sega really has died with the series, and I havnt bothered with some of the newer games.

NES all the way. Dragon Warrior, Tyson, Metroid - that's where its at. Speaking of which...I need to get my friend to send me the emulator he hooked me up with before....

Where's Virtual boy? Or game cube? Or master system? Or portables? Neogeo?

Why not do different generation systems?

Don't forget the 3DO and the Gamegear, but seriously, virtual boy? It was fun for the first few minutes but then came the headaches...Anyways, SNES for me. Star Fox goodness can't be beat. Sega Genesis is comes in a very close second because of Sonic, Vector Man, and Columns.

N64 because it was a first in a lot of aspects (vibrating controller, memeory card, mini joystick......)

Playstation comes in second for the Final Fantasy series and because of the load times.....

NES. Super Contra, Metal Gear, Battletoads, hell Mario/2/3...that was the system way back when. I still have mine and it works :D

I think the Xbox is really great.
But the 360 is really cool too.
But Xbox is classic!

Woah woah woah woah...Xbox a classic? Sorry, but no. A 5 year old system cannot be considered a classic. The only you reason you may consider it a classic is if you're 10 years old and have had basically no gaming experience. The NES can be considered classic because it basically saved the gaming industry after it tanked and gave us some great titles.

I absolutely adored the N64. The games you got with it were pure legendary. Mario 64, Goldeneye, Mario Kart (WITH the best multiplayer battle maps than the recent one on gamecube). So many memories on that console :D. Then it would be the SNES and then the gamecube. That's my top 3 fav's in the console world.
