favourite windows 7 feature ?

I like how you can drag a window to the right or left side of the screen and it'll snap and fill half the screen. I use it a lot when doing homework when I'd keep a word document on one side and an internet browser on the other side.

yeah that is a good feature and for those out there without windows 7 that like the sound of it theres a free program called aerosnap that simulates that feature in vista or xp. one of my favourite new bits in 7 is my winlocker where you can password your files, but inparticular there is a bit in winlocker called yo-safe where you can create a hideable partion to store any private files of folders you have. has anyone else used it ?

I will look at the feature you mentioned. I just now found another. zip and rar and other formats. compression and decompress. been going on for several weeks. thanks

I love how they redesigned the start bar so that each program ahs their own icon, rather than their own space on the taskbar. nothing gets cluttered anymore. :)

Another interesting feature. open about 4 or 5 explorer windows, go into your c: drive or whatever. open another explorer windows and shake it around with the mouse.

Oh yeah, I remember that one, the "Aero Shake" it's called, I think.

the fact that gadgets dont have to be on the side of the screen

wasn't the case with vista, they just got rid of the bar bit for 7. Good for me since I never had in showing in Vista anyway.

Dragging the window to and from the top of the screen to max/restore. I use it all the time.

Jumplists, so handy at times. I also like the pinning icons to taskbar feature, much better than quick launch.

Love the post it notes - I've got one on my second monitor all the time.

really? I dont really see the point of this.... ???

But I guess it can be handy, as I would often just open Notepad in XP to copy/paste quick links or whatever.....

Well I went from XP to win7, never really played with Vista, so it's all really new to me. I love windows 7, so far its been great!

I like the desktop gadgets and the pin to taskbar options.....
