thanks

Not sure exactly if you mean you want to save them on the internet or on another drive, but here is where they are....My computer, C drive, Documents and Settings, Your Name, Favorites. Copy it's contents into a special folder (one not named Favorites) and email it to yourself or a friend.

are you using Windows? Also, maybe your computer was never set up using your name. What ever the computers name is where the favorites will be.
What Browser are you using?

ok, Internet Explorer is your Browser.
Follow these steps

-click on Start (note the name of the PC at the top of the start menu)
-select My Computer
-Select C Drive ( you may see a message saying these files are hidden, select show)
-Now select Documents and settings
-You should see All Users and/or The name of your PC
-select the one with the name of your PC or the account you are now logged into.
-You should now see the favorites folder it's normally a STAR
-Open the folder, this should be all your saved internet links
-Do a select all and save in another folder, maybe one you've created in My Documents folder.
-Save this folder on a seperate drive or email to yourself
-Once you re-install windows, and you put the saved folder back on your PC, OPen the saved folder and copy its contents.
-Now navigate to the favorites folder again (as described above)
and past they copied contents into the Favorites folder

There's shorter way:

Lets do it for IE:

*When You're in a browser window, click file;
*Click "Import/Export"
And then program will give You instructions :)

having checked that they have copied they come up with
"this file does not have a program associated with it performing this action. create an association in the folder options control panel" what does it mean and what do i have to do to correct it
thanks again
