i hope its like doom 3. me and my friend linked out 360's together and were playing that in a pitch black room. so much fun. oh and by the way, anyone know where i can get a cheap copy of the 1 and 2 one of these games?
 
1.8 gig's of download and the demo doesnt work.... oh well, probably better if i just wait for it to come out!! Been playing the first one again, man i forget how scary it is!!

First one had a few spooks but NOTHING compares to Extraction Point...they went all out on the piss your pants idea.

Yeah extraction point was immensly scary! Was it extraction point or perseus mandate where your man gets thrown around the room, and the lights flash on and off - each time more and more of those things appearing all around you...:eek:

Just finished the demo! Wow!

Really looking forward to this! The graphics are fantastic, had it pretty much maxed out on my measly system aswell!

Of Doom or Fear?
 
About 5 hours into this now, its as good as i'd have hoped so far, some of these monsters are crazy!

One complaint though, so far (and i remember this was the case with the first one) its been all in facilities, and buildings. I long for fighting these half naked crawling zombies on a farm somewhere, or in some woods! A crowd of them sprinting across a field towards you would be great :D

then play left 4 dead :P

i do still wish there was more diversity.
 
Thinking of getting left 4 dead, i havent heard one bad word about it. So you play in those sorts of places in l4d?

Just finished FEAR 2, first thing that comes to mind is - what a crappy ending!!

Fantastic game though, loved every minute (other than the ending!). Man theres some scary bits, i think the worst are the naked guys who crawl around everywhere, they make me jump everytime!!!!

Definitely be replaying this soon, im sure theres tonnes of scares i missed

left 4 dead is great. if valve had shut the door on releasing new official maps, and no custom maps were able to be made, the game would have been unsatisfying. but they have already announced that new maps and a new game mode are being released, in addition to the SDK which will undoubtedly set off a bomb in the community. you can expect a seemingly limitless supply of maps, skins, weapons, etc to be cranked out in the near future. i think they purposely kept the content on the short side to get players foaming at the mouth for this upcoming release.
 
How is this game on the 360, has anyone tried it?


I played the demo on the PC, and found it fun, but I need more 360 games to utilize my surround sound setup.
